Environmental Sciences

Program Description

The MSc in Environmental Sciences offers a broad research-based education in the environmental sciences. It imparts students with the competence to handle complex problems and equips them with a wide range of work-relevant skills. Students are educated with the goal of becoming experts and leaders in diverse settings - universities, research institutions, environmental and planning offices, public services, or in relevant sections of the banking, insurance and industrial services.
Students choose one of the following Majors:
- Atmosphere and Climate
- Biogeochemistry and Pollutant Dynamics
- Ecology and Evolution
- Forest and Landscape Management
- Human-Environment Systems
The Master programme includes an 18-week internship in a professional environment in Switzerland or abroad. The six-month Master's thesis is carried out in the chosen Major.

Entry Requirements
The equivalent of an ETH Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or Environmental Engineering.

Application period: For all applicants: 30 October – 15 December for entry into the following Autumn Semester (mid-September).
