Life Cycle Management of Industrial Assets, Master programme

Program Description

A stable and reliable production is essential for most companies. Process assurance has impact on all levels of the company and demands comprehensive maintenance thinking.
The teaching combines theoretical studies with practical case studies in companies. In the first year basic knowledge is supplied covering the topics of asset health management,
maintenance systems and organisation,
spare parts management. Also during
the first year the students own learning
process is in focus in a case study.
The second year focuses on risk and life
cycle management. Also, during the second year there is a course in research methodology.
The program is ended with a final
degree project during the second semester of the second year.
Future
The programme prepares the student for a professional career as a maintenance manager or as specialist in industrial asset management/
process assurance. The programme is
also suitable as a foundation for PhD studies within these areas. The students will also be prepared for further studies towards a PhD.

Entry Requirements
Basic eligibility for second-level studies as well as field eligibility requirements: - Bachelor’s degree within the subject area of Total Quality Maintenance or the equivalent. The equivalent is primarily a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with specialization in production management, quality management and/or maintenance management, or alternatively a Bachelor of Science degree with specialization in production management. -English B or the equivalent.
