Program Description

The main objective of the Doctoral studies is to develop a research project that will provide the basis for defending the Doctoral thesis. The scientific activity of the research groups of the centres that participate in the PRBB is grouped into the following thematic areas: Epigenetic and Gene Regulation, Cell and Developmental Biology, Physiopathology and Pharmacology, Human Genetics and Evolutionary Biology, Epidemiology and Public Health, Biomedical Computing, and Systems Biology and Regenerative Medicine.

Entry Requirements
In addition to the general criteria for admission to a Doctoral programme set forth in article 3 of Royal Decree 56/2005, of 21st January, the programme has the following admission criteria: 1) Acceptance in one of the laboratories of the centres participating in the programme; 2) Development of the thesis project in the context of a financed project; 3) Proof of the Doctoral student's financing capabilities in the form of a salary, scholarship or research contract.
